Hi, It’s Mark here and this week we have another excellent video from Samm Henshaw – ‘The World is Mine’. Enjoy the video then read the short Bible verses and read the questions and I’ll catch up with you after.
Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”
John 3: 17 :“For God did not send his Son [Jesus] into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him”.
In the song Samm Henshaw sings” The weight of guilt might slow us down” – We all make mistakes and do things wrong – but do you feel this weight you down?
Have you ever or recently asked God to forgive you? If not, God is there for you and longing to hear you pray so that He can take that weight off you which is possible through Jesus.
Thought for the week : Say the Lord’s Prayer each day.
Hi Elevation Youth, This week there is a great video from a new artist – Samm Henshaw – Church. Enjoy the Video, read the short bible verses and think through the question and I’ll catch up with you in the next video.
Matthew 18:20: Jesus Said: “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
What difference does it make to have a Christian Faith in your life?
We hope you’re all doing really well and enjoying the sunshine.
This week we take a look for the first time at Hillsong (young and free) – a worship group who produce a lot of Christian music, particularly aimed at young people, and is sung in churches throughout the world. We think you’re going to enjoy this one.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
What do people think of Christians at your school? Do you think others have a realistic understanding of what Christianity really is?
The bible passage from above teaches that God changes us when we choose to follow him, and that we can also help others to enjoying knowing him too. Can you think of just one name person that you could try and share your faith with this week?
Welcome back to another Elevation Youth Music Video Bible Discovery. Check out this the video from Caitie Hurst – How could I be Silent, then read this weeks great Bible passage look at the questions and I’ll see you after…
The Great Commission – Matthew 28:16-20
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
1. What news do you like to share on social media platforms and why?
2. Jesus gives us a mission to tell others about him and to make disciples (followers of Jesus), this is to be part of our daily living in action and word. What could you do for people or say that would show the love of Jesus is not silent in you (quoting the song)?
Hello and welcome to our latest edition of elevation youth online!
This week, we’re going to take a look at the video that went viral recently called ‘the UK blessing’. It’s another example of a video that has been made in lockdown and shows many Christians from across the country joining together to worship.
But did you know this song comes out of a passage from the Old Testament? What does that passage, and the words of the song mean for us today?
Here we go with this weeks Elevation Youth Video Bible discovery. Watch the video “You Say” from the wonderful Lauren Daigle. Then read the bits below and I’ll catch up with you in a bit.
Bible: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
9 But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
St Paul wrote this letter and he talks about God’s Grace being sufficient for what we need in our troubles and challenges. Grace being the gifts that He gives that we don`t deserve. Paul went through severe challenges but he knew that God was with him as he sought to faithfully follow Jesus and share the Christian message.
How do you respond that even in our challenges God is with us and we can draw on strength from him?
Lauren sings “All that matters is what You [God] think of me…. You say I am strong when I think I am weak”. These words come from the Bible verses above. Are there things in your life which you feel you are stronger in now after times of challenge? If so give thanks to God in your prayers.
